In My Head...

This is going to be more of a reflection entry than a documentation of work. I have a journal I keep offline, but since this directly pertains to my academic/military life, I'll go ahead and put my thoughts here. I have a headache. lol Probably shouldn't be drinking, but I'm stubborn and like my dark cherry hard lemonade too much (if you can even call that drinking). I finally started to color code my planner because it was getting to be so packed full of things to do, I could hardly keep track of separate class loads. There are 7 different pen colors. 1 for each of my 6 classes, and then I keep ROTC and other tasks in black. It seems to be helping. Lately, I've been finding myself caught up in a surreal daze, thinking about the end of all this. It's like...there's a light at the end, but it's blurred. And one, single screw up will make it disappear completely. It's mind-numbing. Hang on, gonna take something for this headache... ...So...I ta...

Cue Spring 2013 part 2

Alright, I don't plan on sleeping tonight either, so I'll just try to finish this up. SO...Digital 3D Animation... I hated 3D modeling. Now we have to animate this stuff. lol I'm sure if I had more time to learn and appreciate this kinda thing, it wouldn't be half as bad. But this class is just ugly. It's the only course I'm behind in so far. There are SO MANY things to learn about Autodesk Maya, and it's incredibly fast-paced. Learning takes a long time, modeling takes even longer, and figuring out how to smoothly animate takes even longer than that. I literally do not have the time of day for all the homework we're assigned in addition to everything else I have to do. I asked Ms. R (yes, she teaches 3 of my classes this semester) how much my grade would lower if the assignments are late. She told me she was willing to be lenient with me, and me only due to my workload. I'm so grateful for that, but I'm still afraid I'm going to get too ...

Cue Spring 2013

HOLY FRIDGETOAST, BATMAN... I've been trying to start up the blog again now that I'm in a new semester, but I haven't found the time, I'm that busy this time around. If last semester was "impossible," this semester must be completely beyond all reason. I have SO much to talk about, and on the brink of passing out. I don't sleep, I hardly eat, and the workload is scary as hell. I'm completely worn out by the end of each day (even weekends), and yet still have to keep working. I am zombified. I'm going to blog about as much as I can tonight, but may have to save some for later due to the fact that I can hardly focus I'm so drained. This just needs to happen. My brain's gonna 'splode if I don't get this out. I'm going to go over my classes one-by-one and explain what's going on. Here's my class schedule so you get an idea of when this is all happening (using military time). Tuesdays and Thursdays are KILLER. Wake u...

Zelda vs. Sailor Moon in My Gallery

Well...I'm holding a poll to see what fanart people wanna see next from me on DeviantART, and it's overwhelmingly Zelda at the time I'm writing this. I started wondering why that is since I draw Sailor Moon/ Uni stuff more than anything... Why do I have so many Zelda fanatics? xD I think it may be because I've done some pretty big things with the Zelda stuff. I've been recognized by some people famous in the Zelda community for it, and on IGN.com. So. I guess. :v But still. It got me curious just how much more SM art I do than Zelda, and since I'm a professional procrastinator... :D I went through my whole gallery and made tallies. I made tallies for everything Uni/Sailor Moon related, and everything Zelda related...from personal fanart to commissions, requests, cosplay...anything. Here're the results: It was overwhelmingly SM at first, and then I got into all the Zelda commissions I've had. Tons.  And I may have missed one or two here ...

Pond Photoshoot

I've been a bit irritated lately about school and not being able to get back to California the way I'd like to, so my aunt took me out to relax for a while today. She's a photographer and doesn't get many volunteers to model for her, so I let her get some photos of me today. We may do it again on Friday...but this shoot features my handmade sundress, which I will NOT be wearing later 'cause it'll be way too cold. ^^; Those statues you see in some of them are the subject of a lot of family jokes - we think they're pretty funny lookin', so my aunt wanted to get some shots by them just for our own amusement~ She also got a photo of my eye the other day...I found it kinda cool. ~Uni

Fall '12 Conclusions

There's a LOT to cover in this entry. I hesitated to write it 'cause I know I'll be here a while and there's still so much to get done even though I'm finished with the semester. I will be working on school projects while on "vacation" this winter so that my workload next semester won't kill me. And it does have the potential to. I've been very, very sleep deprived these last couple months due to schoolwork, and it will get much worse. I will be swamped with so much work next semester it's making me ill just thinking about it. My professors are worried about it and my classmates were speechless when I told them what'd I'd be doing, but I don't have a choice. I'll be taking the Video Art class, btw. They found a way to offer it, so I'll be taking that instead of Figure Drawing. Which is a bittersweet thing, I guess. Ms. S was reeeally looking forward to having me in that course. She said she'd already begun planning t...
