Pumpkin Fun

Been a while! Since I started work at Best Buy, my personal life has once again slowed up a bit in terms of getting things done...including getting blog entries up. The list of stuff I want to record just keeps growing, and I even have days set aside FOR blogging, but...priorities, you know. = / Anyway, this one should be simple and quick, so I'll go for it. I just carved my first pumpkin in about 6 years, so I wanted to document it. It looks a little...uh...crooked. xD My carving skills aren't that great. But I like how it turned out over all. The initial cut. I love the inside of pumpkins. It's slippery, but cool. xD I later cleaned the seeds and roasted them. I made a pumpkin man from the guts! He's contemplating his strange existence... Love me some pun'kins~ Hollowed out I found the shavings pretty, okay... :p Instead of taping on a pattern, I drew it on...with a sharpie. Bad idea. So, I went over the sketch lines with acry...

Fall '12 Conclusions

There's a LOT to cover in this entry. I hesitated to write it 'cause I know I'll be here a while and there's still so much to get done even though I'm finished with the semester. I will be working on school projects while on "vacation" this winter so that my workload next semester won't kill me. And it does have the potential to. I've been very, very sleep deprived these last couple months due to schoolwork, and it will get much worse. I will be swamped with so much work next semester it's making me ill just thinking about it. My professors are worried about it and my classmates were speechless when I told them what'd I'd be doing, but I don't have a choice. I'll be taking the Video Art class, btw. They found a way to offer it, so I'll be taking that instead of Figure Drawing. Which is a bittersweet thing, I guess. Ms. S was reeeally looking forward to having me in that course.
